Tour Duration
This is a full day bus tour (7 Hours approx.) We arrive at our first venue at 11.00am, and leave our final Venue by 4.30pm.
Departure Time & Location
You Choose the Location. We must be at our first stop in Phillip Island by 11.00am, so we will work your pickup time from that.
Pickup Location must be within 40km of Melbourne CDB, in the SE Suburbs, Mornington Peninsula, or in South/West Gippsland, or Phillip Island
Number of Passengers
It is just your group on board today, so the number of passengers is up to you. Minimum 6, Maximum 25
Payments
We require a $200 deposit to secure your tour and date. Full payment is then due 2 weeks prior to the date of your tour.
Cancellations
If you cancel the tour, the following conditions apply:
- 15+ Days – Full Refund Provided
- 8-14 Days – Full Refund Provided, less $200 deposit.Â
- 0-7 Days – No Refund Provided
We are able to make alterations to your passenger numbers up until 2 weeks out from tour – after that, each change will be made on a case-by-case basis.Â
We reserve the right to make any necessary changes either before or on the day to the itinerary that we deem necessary to ensure both passenger safety & enjoyment, and to ensure the tour is able to proceed. This includes, but not limited to, changes required to be made due to situations out of our control and changes that need to be made due to closure or unavailability of venues.

YOUR JOURNEY
Meet us at your designated Pickup Location – your memorable tour is about to begin!
We believe that the journey is half the fun – and as such we like to practice what we preach.
Whilst we make our way down onto Phillip Island, and into our first stop, we will do the following:
- You will become acquainted with your friendly driver – this will be the person responsible for ensuring your day goes to plan, that you are well looked after, and that you get home safely at the end of the day…we suggest you be nice to them 😉
- You will get a rundown of the day –Â don’t worry, we will remind you of the important things that you need to remember as the day goes on.
- You will be met with some amazing views and beautiful landscapes as the scenery changes before your very eyes
- You will have time to relax into the day – simply sit back and relax, one of the best things about today is that you don’t have to worry about a thing…let us do that for you. Chances are you’ll also hear some hilarious jokes (or absolutely horrendous… depending on your driver); sing along to some great tunes; and kick off the good times before we even arrive at our first stop.
- Note: it is about a 1.5 hour journey into the Island from Melbourne, so we understand that you may just want some ‘down time’ – at least for the mornings journey.Â
Here at Purple Hen, you will be treated to a generous helping of their locally produced wines right from the bottle, as we do things a little differently to normal here and actually keep the bottles on the table, so you can essentially ‘help yourself’.

We will arrive into the beauty that is the Phillip Island Winery. Straight away we will witness why this is one of the most sought after places to laze away an afternoon here on the Island.
We will enjoy a unique wine tasting here, served to us in The Yards – which will provide us a beautiful setting for our tasting, and also plenty of opportunity for those looking to do a bit of retail therapy.
We then head on inside, where our absolutely divine and delicious Shared Grazing Lunch awaits us, consisting of locally inspired grazing boards, arancini platters, fresh made pizzas and salad.

-wander the beautiful Main St of Cowes, taking time in the many bars and pubs they have here, or even dipping your feet in the beautiful Cowes foreshore
Wine Tasting = +$15pp
-enjoy another delicious Wine Tasting of Phillip Island. Wine Tasting included.
Golden Hour Sparkling Wine and Cheese = +$15pp
-venture out to the Western Lookout of Phillip Island, and enjoy a Sparkling glass of Wine, and Cheese Board overlooking the setting sun over the bay.Â
Cocktail Bar in San Remo = +$0pp
-finish your day at this amazing new Cocktail Bar overlooking the Bridge in San Remo (drinks not included)
Alas, all good things must come to an end.
We will probably make at least one stop in at a Maccas or similar on our return – as after all that wine, sometimes this is needed.
However, don’t think that the return journey will just be a boring drive home, we definitely do make the most of last bits of time together.
Sing along to some tunes, update “the gram”, or share some more good times with your ‘tour friends’.
We will get you back to your pickup location safe and sound.
We expect to be departing the island at approx 4.30pm

Tour FAQ
For most days we do allow this – but we do ask that you check with us first.Â
Above all, respect must be maintained at all times towards our driver, our bus, and your fellow travellers.
We do not allow glass on board.
We reserve the right at any time to order that drinks not be consumed.
Unfortunately, not for our Phillip Island Wine Tour.Â
At this stage, we are only offering this as a private group tour – meaning groups need to be 6 or more in order to book in a day.
We do accept single/small group bookings for our Phillip Island Wine, Wildlife and Penguins Tour though – you can view this here
Technically we don’t have a minimum number, we would be more than happy to provide any of our tours to a group of x2 or more.
However, our Tour prices are based on a minimum of x6 passengers.
If there were to be less than this, then we would customise the Phillip Island Food and Wine tour and price to suit you.
ADDITIONAL PEOPLE
We are generally pretty flexible with this, and as long as our vehicle can handle the additional people, as well as our venues can handle the additional people – then the more the merrier!
REMOVING PEOPLE
We understand that when booking so far in advance that sometimes plans change for people. This is why we always try to remain as flexible and understanding as possible.

Yes, of course!
We are big fans of music here as well – and believe strongly that it can really add to the day.
You are welcome to bring your own Bluetooth Abled device to connect up to our system – please just check this with your Driver on the day.
*note – in rare situations the Bluetooth devices do decide to malfunction. We apologise in advance if you are the unlucky one this happens to.
All you need is yourself for Phillip Island Food and Wine – we’ll take care of the rest!
However, a few things you might choose to bring if you wish…
- Camera – for those great photo ops (though your phone normally suffices)
- Drink Bottle – always good to stay hydrated
- Extra Money – just in case you want to buy some more drinks, or even some to take home
- Bathers & Towel – as there may be a chance to go for a little dip should you wish
All we ask is that you let us know of these upon booking so we can ensure we have time to prepare.
Full payment is then due 2 weeks prior.
